Yea, Summer is here!!!!!

Finally summer is here (knock on wood). I am done with the gloominess and ready to soak in the sun. I love it now that it is staying light longer. The boys have been playing outside with the neighborhood kids in the evening. We live in a cul-de-sac so there is plenty of room to ride bikes and run around. Although the pavement is nice for bike riding, Evan has had a few run ins with the pavement. The poor kids knees and feet are covered in scabs. The scabs on his knees keep breaking open and his shorts get blood all over them. I think he might get some nice looking scars. He also has big scrapes on his nose and chin. Ouch!!

We also finally have a fence so I can send Evan in the back yard and not have to worry about him running off. John just finished staining it. Thank you sweetie. It is really nice having some privacy. Especially when we use the hot tub. I am hoping that we will use the back yard more now. I would like to eat dinners out there and get some use out of our patio furniture.

Burning Down the House

My inlaws bought a farm last year and are trying to clean up the land. They had the fire department come out and burn down the uninhabitable farmhouse.

Dave and Jenna checking out the flames.

It was scarry how fast it went up in flames. It didn't take long for it to be burnt to the ground.

Chase dressed for the occasion.

A Sunday Afternoon

I love my three little angels so much. I love to see all three of them together.

Safety Fair

A life flight helicopter landed in the park right in front of us. It was very windy and very loud. Evan totally freaked out when he was almost blown away. It blew the blankets off Chloe and it was so loud we had to scream to talk, but Chloe slept through the whole thing. Once we got Evan calmed down they got to take a look inside the helicopter.

We had a fun afternoon at the fire station. They had a bike rodeo. Ryan had fun riding the coarse, dressing up in fireman garb, spraying the hose and playing on the old fire truck. They also got to check out some police cars and new fire trucks.

Soccer, soccer, soccer

Ryan is in the white jersey
Now in the yellow jersey

Evan can't wait until he is old enough to play. He is a fast little stinker.
Although we are very glad that the season is finally over, Ryan will miss it. Soccer is his favorite sport to play. Fall season will be here before we know it.

Chloe's Blessing

We are so grateful that my parents and all of the Oregon Burtons could come and share the special day with us.

The men who stood in the circle. Thank you for being able and willing.

Our family of five.

Ryan, Garrett and Bryce
Ryan is lucky enough to have a couple of cousins his same age. They have lots of fun when they get together.

So cute!!!

I have to admit I wasn't sure about having a girl, but it has been lots of fun. I had a good time getting her glammed up in her dress.
